ACTIVITY: Adverb Clause Skits

This is an activity with the goal of getting Secondary 2 students to utilize adverb clauses to further their point/explain themselves. Each student must use at least 4 subordinating conjunctions in appropriate circumstances. This assignment was completed with two other students.

Students will pair off. One student takes the role of a parent while the other plays their child. The parent and child prepare a 5 minute dramatic presentation in which they argue about a house rule. The child wants an exception to the rule, whilst the parent reminds the child why the rule exists in the first place.
